Tip of the Week

Could this be our cancer killer of the future? Chlorophyll seems to inhibit the carcinogen activation enzyme, which has been shown to promote tumor growth. It also has the ability to break down carcinogens before they trigger cell damage that can lead to cancer. In laboratory studies, animals given large amounts of chlorophyll-containing kelp in their diets were significantly less likely to develop breast cancer than those that didnīt eat the special diet. Whatīs more, chlorophyll may help control cancer that has already formed! It inhibits enzymes in the body that control cell division, a process called mitosis. By blocking the cell division, chlorophyll can prevent tumors from spreading.
